YOGA  AASANAS

Introduction to Trikon asana (Triangle Pose):

Trikon asana, commonly known as Triangle Pose, is a yoga posture that resembles the shape of a triangle when fully extended. It's a foundational pose that helps in improving strength, flexibility, and balance. Trikon asana is named after the Sanskrit words "tri," meaning three, and "kona," meaning angle, as the pose involves three angles in the body.

Technique of Trikon asana:

Here's how to practice Trikon asana:

  • Start by standing with your feet about 3-4 feet apart, with arms stretched out parallel to the ground.
  • Turn your right foot out 90 degrees and your left foot slightly inward.
  • Inhale and extend your torso to the right, bending from the hip joint, not the waist.
  • Exhale and rotate your torso to the right, bringing your right hand down to your shin, ankle, or the floor, whichever is comfortable.
  • Extend your left arm upwards towards the ceiling, aligning it with your right arm. Keep your gaze directed towards your left hand.
  • Hold the pose for a few deep breaths, then inhale as you come back up to the starting position.
  • Repeat the same steps on the other side, turning your left foot out and right foot slightly inward.

Remember to maintain steady breathing throughout the pose and avoid straining. With regular practice, you can gradually deepen your stretch and experience the full benefits of Trikonas
